Following on from the previous Echizen lacquerware tumbler, BLUE BLUE JAPAN 's flagship store, OKURA, has released a special order wooden tumbler made from Noto cypress and Wajima lacquerware. Material is Noto cypress, the prefectural tree of Ishikawa Prefecture, and OKURA lacquerware, known as one of Japan's finest lacquerware.

The lacquering was done by Nakakado Hiroshi, a Wajima lacquerware craftsman with many awards to his name.
The unique Wajima lacquerware process involves over 100 steps, ensuring high durability and a smooth feel on the palate. The delicate lacquer, with multiple layers of shading, creates a deep luster that adds a tranquil texture to everyday use.

Wajima lacquerware tumblers are said to be "something you'd want to continue using for the next 100 years."
The brand's iconic "Heart in Yang" logo is engraved on the side.

The wood used is Noto hiba, which is known to be difficult to process. Utilizing the cutting techniques of Yamanaka lacquerware, a traditional craft of Ishikawa Prefecture, the wood is left to dry for a sufficient period before being carefully finished and turned to bring out the strength of Material.

Our unique technology suppresses the distinctive aroma so that the flavor of the drink is not affected.It also has excellent heat and cold retention properties, preventing ice from melting when using cold drinks and preventing heat from transferring to your hands when using hot drinks.

It will be delivered in a special presentation box. Noto hiba chips are used as cushioning Material, and it can also be used as an odor and insect repellent in shoe shelves and closets.
