Product comment
- This is a special collection created to commemorate the JAPAN DORAKU event.
JAPAN DORAKU is a project that was launched with the theme of "Creating a bright future through the circulation of people and money" and is centered around the preservation of Japanese traditions and culture, with social activities as its primary focus.
Seilin & Co. also resonated with this project and created a special collection under its own original brand.
【design】
This jacket is made with original Sashiko fabric and is designed for comfort.
【Material】
The fabric is made using skein-dyed honnai yarn, which gives it a subtle vertical unevenness. Double-woven on a dobby loom, it gives the fabric thickness and elasticity without being heavy.
By drying the fabric without using high heat during the processes of dyeing the yarn and weaving and finishing the fabric, we have created a soft, fluffy texture.
honnai that has been used as a signature Material by BLUE BLUE JAPAN. In pursuit of an even lighter feel, this is a new sashiko Material created by adjusting the number of weft threads used compared to conventional fabrics.
[detail and Silhouette]
It is a type of workwear, and is single layer layered, reminiscent of a bus driver's jacket.
The seams are wrapped with piping for a clean, neat look. For comfort and ease of movement, the armholes and sleeve widths are set to be significantly wider than those of a regular tailored jacket.
It can be worn as an inner layer with T-shirts for a casual look, or paired with a shirt for a dressier look.
[BLUE BLUE JAPAN REWORK]
Handmade techniques such as indigo dyeing and natural dyeing are the foundation of BLUE BLUE JAPAN. Fascinated by the deep hues and the way they change and grow depending on the owner, we have been developing items using a variety of techniques and methods for a long time.
The REWORK series is a special item that has been further processed from a finished product to create a new product.
This jacket was made by adding shibori to both sides and the cuffs, de-dying the fabric, and then dyeing it again with a unique blend of colors.
Leaving both sleeves at an angle is a difficult technique, but the dyeing is achieved by applying shibori techniques.
We mixed dyes in layers to blend well with the indigo blue, resulting in a color that is both stylish and blends in well.
The de-dyeing process is carried out over and over, and the fabric is washed, dried, and then dyed again, all done carefully by hand.
BLUE BLUE JAPAN
We started by creating products that are hand-sewn together and have a warm indigo feel.
We create comfortable clothing that can be worn for many years, using a focus on traditional Japanese honnai dyeing techniques, as well as colors and Material evoke the four seasons, all while remaining committed to being "MADE IN JAPAN."
