Sashiko is a traditional Japanese Material originally made for judo uniforms.
Among the many sashiko series from BLUE BLUE JAPAN, we have used a particularly iconic sashiko Material. It is sturdy yet soft, so it does not easily lose its shape and maintains its beautiful form.
After the off-white fabric is sewn into products, each piece is hand-dyed in European work Blue indigo by artisans.
