This tailored jacket is made from sashiko fabric, Material is representative of BLUE BLUE JAPAN.
【Material】
The fluffy, thick double-woven sashiko fabric is characterized by its thickness yet softness. The expanded fibers trap air, which also provides excellent heat retention.
The sashiko portion is woven using two strands of 16-count thread, each made by twisting three strands together to make a thicker thread. By using different thicknesses for the weft and weft, the unique textured texture sashiko is created. First, the off-white fabric is used, and after it is made into a product, each piece is hand-dyed to a jet black by artisans.
