Dickies
Dickies is an USA workwear brand. It is the world's largest workwear brand, accounting for approximately 70% of the workwear market. In 1918, C.N. Williamson and E.D. Dickie founded the company that would become Dickies. Originally, they sold horse-drawn carriages and harnesses. In 1922, the company changed its name to the current "Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company." The brand name "Dickies" comes from Dickie. Williamson and Dickie founded Dickies with the goal of creating workwear for USA workers. In the 1940s, they produced uniforms for the USA Army during World War II. In the 1950s, they produced workwear for Texas oil workers. During this time, Dickies released their signature "KHAKI 874." The huge popularity of the KHAKI 874 led to the company's expansion overseas.
