- 日本では1971年から販売しているClerks(クラークス)のオリジナル商品であるワラビーブーツ。カンガルーの小型有袋類ワラビーから命名されました。子供をお腹の袋に入れて大事に育てるように足を優しく包み込むような一足で、履いていてとても気持ちのいいシューズです。
独特のモカシン構造のワラビーはクラークス オリジナルズ コレクションのアイコンシューズとして全世界で支持されています。Wallabee Bootはくるぶしより上のアンクルブーツ丈のスタイルとなっています。
シンプルでクリーン、履き心地の良いレースアップスタイル、クラークスオリジナルズの象徴であるクレープソールにシーズンごとのバリエーションを組み合わせ、今も進化しつづけています。
Clarks
1825年にイングランド南西部にあるストリートという街で創業したシューズブランド「Clarks（クラークス）」。創業当初は毛付きシープスキンのスリッパを生産。その後、履きやすさと快適さを追求し続けカジュアルシューズやコンフォートシューズの原点と言われる靴づくりに取り組んでいった。これが1950年代～60年代に登場し、現在ではブランドのアイコンとも呼ばれるシューズ「Wallabee(ワラビー)」、「Desert Boot(デザートブーツ)」の展開へと繋がっていった。長い歴史の中で、カジュアルシューズの世界的ブランドにまで成長しました。
